Animals are not just one more specie on our planet, but also our coumpanions. Unfortunately, There are hundred of thousands people that are mistreating animals which no way is obvious to be fair. Mistreating animals is unacceptable and the reason why, is because they deserve to be treated well since they are part of our nature and environment.
Every day, countless of cats, dogs and other animals suffer and die at the hands of people who are supposed to care for and protect them. Physical violence, emotional abuse and lack of food are daily realities for many animals. Their only hope is that a kind person comes and gives them what an animal deserves.

I think that anyone who has accustomed himself to regard the life of any living creature as worthless deserves to have one as a pet, because there is a strong possibility that the person will neglect the animal and even worse: let the animal die when they have the capacity to support it.
I defenitely think that there should be a legal punishment for those unloved people who forsake animals when they have the resources and possibilities to keep them in good conditions.
Perhaps, some people might say that animals are useless. I totally desagree with that. Animals, Especially, those that we have as pets; They are so helpful for human beings. Some animals cheer us up or make us have a better mood. They protect us and love us as well.
One universal example is a dog. Despite being mistreated by people, their love and affection towards human beings keep going.
In conclusion, I would say that since in most countries there are not organizations or government policies that are by the side of mistreated animals, We must take the iniciative to protect animal's well-being and boost their living conditions the best way possible.
